Planet Academy
Planet Academy (beta) is a free and effective online learning platform for e-learning professionals. As of now, this learning platform is on its nascent stage and several useful resources will be added on a weekly basis.
For the first few months, Planet Academy will be intended to benefit budding Instructional Designers and will include the following resources:
- Short instructional design assignments.
- Assessment section that will test the visitors knowledge on ID theories and models through multiple choice questions.
- Free rapid e-learning courses on basics of Instructional Design.
- Free online tutorials on installing and configuring Moodle, Drupal, and other popular open source e-learning tools.
We have planned to include more questions and useful resources in the coming days. Check out our blog section frequently for more announcements in this regard. Please share your feedback and let us know if you have any suggestions for improving Planet Academy.

It is great that you are providing a free Moodle server platform for folks to use. If you download and install the udutu plugin, then you’ll also be able to offer them free course authoring for rich media interactive courses and simulations, as well as an easy way to create section 508 compliant courses. I have been using udutu for my course too, and I am very happy with their service. It’s FREE to create the courses and you can just load them in your Moodle where ever your Moodle is hosted.
Charges come through udutu if you want the staff of udutu to create courses for you or to host your couses on their server.
I am very happy with what they have done for me and their support is excellent!
