Our New Approach to Planet’s Pick of the Week December 10, 2009
Posted by elearningtyro in : Announcements, Planet's Pick , add a commentHello all,
We just wanted to keep you posted about a possible change in our approach towards E-Learning Planet’s “Pick of the Week”. So far, we have been selecting only one blogger and a blog post as our favourite pick of the week. Based on our experiences while selecting the best blogger and blog post, we realized that more than one blogger and blog post deserve to be listed as our pick. Therefore, we now want to be more generous in our listing criteria by increasing the number of best bloggers and blog posts, rather than sticking to just ONE. By doing this, we also feel that you will get to know more interesting and useful blog posts.
Stay tuned and check out our blog section on the second half of every week to gain access to our weekly roundup of informative blog posts related to the learning industry. Have a good day.
Regards,
Sathish

Shutting Down Planet Forum May 7, 2009
Posted by elearningtyro in : Announcements , add a commentHello all,
We included the forum section on elearningplanet.com to facilitate collaborative learning between e-learning professionals. After experimenting it for four months, we now realize that Planet Forum does not add any value to our visitors in terms of active discussions. However, we have also identified that the links to useful e-learning resources have received a tremendous response from visitors.
Based on all these observations, we have planned to shut down Planet Forum, which will be done after launching Planet Library. As we communicated earlier, Planet Library will be a free online library for e-learning professionals and will include several useful resources on e-learning. Needless to say, useful resources that are available on Planet Forum will be moved to Planet Library.
Thank you for all your visits to Planet Forum and kindly bear the inconvenience caused due to these changes on elearningplanet.com

My Plans on Setting Up a Free Online Library April 13, 2009
Posted by elearningtyro in : Announcements , add a commentI am in the process of setting up a free online library for e-learning professionals. I wish this library to be a one-stop source or knowledge repository to access a list of useful resources on e-learning. Obviously, a number of such resources are available in Cyberspace with each site or blog featuring its own list. I wish my library to integrate all these information on different sites and blogs, and thus act as a one-stop source!
The online library shall include a list of:
- Latest news and events in the e-learning industry
- E-learning blogs and forums
- Interactive e-learning demos
- E-learning companies in India, US, UK, and other countries
- Useful resources on Instructional Design, Graphic Design, Multimedia Programming, and other e-learning professions
Watch out elearningplanet.com soon for announcement on the launch of the online library.
